Mercedes AMG planning a factory tours

Not only is Mercedes-Benz’s AMG division dreaming of using BMW’s hardware, they will also be copying BMW by starting a factory tour program. Mercedes hopes that offering a tour to customers will help built loyalty as they watch their cars be made.

AMG customers have shown interest to visit AMF’s headquarters in Affalterbach, Germany and the company is now planning on ways to accommodate them...

Who wants to see AMGs being built when one can see a real performance machine like the Lexus IS-F smoke anything German for half the price?

AMG builds like what? Faster MBs? That means poor handling with an even heavier engine and an outdated 5 speed automatic? The IS-F has 8 speeds for crying out loud.

8 gears? OMG How have we been able to live our lives up until now? I am now a happier man knowing that my children will grow up in a world with cars having 8 gear transmissions.....

That's what I was just thinking! Now all those Porsche 930's with only 4 speeds have nowhere left to go but the junkyard.
