Weird Stuff: Audi TT Pickup

Weird Stuff: Audi TT Pickup
We’re not going to bother translating all this since the pictures speak for themselves. Some company in Denmark, converted a beautiful Audi TT into a pickup. Yes, that’s right, a pickup. Now in a little tiny space, you can haul heavy duty stuff back and forth in luxury and style. Supposedly there is a market for this type of stuff.

I can't imagine why anyone would opt to do this...

At least the damage is not permanent as it looks to be a matter of removing the hatch, and temporarily placing this tub (or whatever it is) in its place.

I agree this is a crime but the reason is this: Danes are living in a true tax hell. Every new car is taxed by base price x 25% (VAT) x 180% (Registration tax). Get 1 - pay for 3. A base TT Coupe 2.0 ends up at app. 120.000 USD.
By converting the TT to a van we may get away with 'only' 50% tax on the car.
9 out 10 Cayennes, X5's, Q7's and the like running around in DK have their rear seats removed and are equipped as vans/pickups.
Real life insanity? - you bet.

Well, at least it's still beautiful from the front. And it's not as terrible as I thought it would be.

Doesn't anyone have a sense of humor?
Then again I wouldn't be surprised if they claim it to be an off road kink. LOL
