More new pics of the 2006 BMW 3-series

Wow...I am now certain that Bangle, or whoever is in charge of BMW designs nowadays, has been sippin on Johnnie Walker way too much...First the controversial 7 series, than the ackward,pontiac-ish 5 series, and now this!! If this is really what the new 3 series is going to look like, its OVA for BMW, bc the M3 would look similar too!! If BMW has any sense left at all, they'd bring back the 850, with NO I-DRIVE....BMW was much better, un-bangled...

This is very disappointing... I absolutely hate the rear and. It looks very much like a toyota prius with the rear brake lights and crammed bumper.

The side lines on the car are decent but the rear really disappoints.

I took a few minutes and I decided I had to write more. I have an 04' m3 and I bought it early just so I could ensure that I could still drive a bmw that I liked the design of before they go and do this to the entire 3 series line. I do believe it is in need of a refresh but this is not the way they should be heading.

Keep the profile of the old design while adding some flare... consider more modification on the front grill/air intakes... the rear keep nice and simple...

Let's pray BMW is reading this.

I’ll have to wait to see this one in person. I remember thinking how UGLY the SLK350 was in picture but every time I see one in person, I’m amazed how good it really looks. Then again, the BMW 6 looks better in picture than in the flesh. Time will tell I guess.

Can't begin to compare to the current 3 series, particularly the coupes. The back end is cheap cheap cheap. What're they thinking? I've had 2 3 series coupes, a 2001 330Ci and an '84 318i. For their time they were handsome cars and have aged well. The next generation looks cheap and well, cheap.
The "1" series is much better looking from the rear. It's cheaper but looks much richer. I just hope these designers don't touch the next generation MINI. Please.

The back of the new 3 looks like a Saturn. It appears that Bangle & Co. have done it again. Looks like the party is almost over at BMW AG.
