Porsche lowers Canadian pricing for all 2008 models

Kudos to Porsche. They appear to be the first to address the currency discrepancy since the rise of the Canadian dollar (or the fall of the American dollar).

Nice move! I'm canadian and now I still can't affort a porsche! Hopefully other brand will follow...

I'm a Canadian also and I cannot figure out why our government has failed to make it easier for Canadians to simply buy their cars in the U.S. if the price difference warrants. There is no excuse for Canada to have its own emisssions and safety regulations. They are de facto non-tariff bariers, contrary to the spirit of NAFTA and should be eliminated. Any car made in the U.S. or Canada that meets U.S. regulations, should automatically qualify for importation into Canada without any further inspection of any kind and subject only to the payment of GST at the border. Alberta's inspection requirements for vehicles brought in from other jurisdictions are discriminatory and should be declared unconstitutional.

It seems like lip service as the price differences, even with the new changes, are HUGE!

By the way, there is a class action suit currently under way seeking a few billion in damages for Canadians being ripped off by the auto industry with this unjustified price difference. I wish these Toronto layers every success in achieving justice for Canadian motorists.
