Last we heard of the Alfa Romeo 8C Spider seeing the light of production was in July, where an Italian publication was reported saying that the convertible variant of the 8C Competizione will go into production at the end of 2008.

Well today, Fiat CEO, Segio Marchionne, was talking to a group of financial investors in New York City and revealed to them some of Alfa’s future plans. In the works, confirmed by Marchionne himself, the Alfa Romeo 8C Spider which will go on sale worldwide in 2009...
