Expensive cars no longer the safest

The latest round of the Euro NCAP crash safety test results are out, with Hyundai’s new i-30 hatch, Ford’s Mondeo and the Volkswagen Caddy ‘Life’ and Tiguan SUV all going under the microscope. Vehicles were rated on three different categories, Adult Occupant Protection, Child Occupant Protection and Pedestrian Protection, and received a separate score for each.

I put comfort and reliability ahead of safety. Safety is largely a matter of driving style and ability to avoid idiots on the road.

Well, XeroKOOL, it was your driving style that had you out in the intersection to get T-boned instead of behind the white line. I agree, not all accidents can be prevented but EnnNorak has a point. Driving style has a very large involvement in your own safety.
