GM developing hybrid Saturn-Opel Astra

Engineers at GM are working on a new hybrid drivetrain they plan to install in the next-generation Opel Astra (current model pictured), scheduled to hit the streets in 2010. GM is working on its new E-Flex plug-in technology but is also planning to launch a new range of more conventional hybrid vehicles, where both an internal combustion engine and an electric motor drive the wheels.

Okay so, the Aura Hybrid has so far been a complete bust, as for the Vue Hybrid for 2008 has been delayed for the 3rd time, and now they are talking about Astra Hybrid?!?!? C'mon GM, prove yourself 1st with some sort of solid hybrid tech, that can be sold consistently to the everyday consumer, just like your GM concepts @ autoshows, spend too much time & money creating these concepts that you end up not developing, or becomes short live due to it not making it out in the real world...GM conitnues to be all show, but no go...
