Chinese quality disaster on the Shuanghuan CEO at the Frankfurt Auto Show (X5 look-a-like)
See for yourself the build quality of the Chinese X5 look-a-like, noticce the rust at the screws, the plastic junctions, the details... amazing in the year of 2007 to see something like this!

None of the pics work - can you add them to this thread?

Sorry mate, but no one else is complaining, and the photos seem fine to me and to those I asked to test it.

No mistaking the interior for an X5

It's always been a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, with an X3-esque rear end.

The entire car is Toyota Land Cruiser Prado.

I highly doubt that, plus that steering wheel is a direct rip-off of a BMW steering wheel.

Imitation in this case speaks to style alone. If the Chinese are serious about competing against BMW than they should make this vehicle out of aluminum or stainless steel so as to make it rust-proof in ways BMW cannot quickly imitate.

I hope BMW and Audi don't try to export their made-in-China vehicles to the gullible public in Europe and North America. I believe their thirst for profits
and the strong Euro will lead to this happening.

The quality of this car looks much better than a German made BMW. My mom's 2002 335i was so unreliable and poorly made she traded it in for a Lexus IS300. Never looked back ever since.

David> Try a MBZ 2001 c class it was amoung the worse cars ever the little devils are and were so bad that you only wish the Benz dealer had rooms for overnight stays and yes i can remember many a 3 series that you couldn't trust from point a to b?

sure she had a 2002 335i, was this the 2002 335i biturbo? one of a kind or what?

There was no 335i in 2002 stupid, and my e46 323i has never given me any problems and I bought it in 01 with 19,000 miles on it and to date it has well over 100,000 miles of trouble free driving on it. Yes I agree lexus may be more reliable than some BMW's but they sure don't drive like one, which is fine with me. but BMW's aren't junk either. Every one I have ever owned has been bulletproof. especially the engine and transmission and I beat the crap out of my older ones.

Wow, BMW had a turbo engine in 02? I must be unimformed.

What's with the Mitsubishi sticker? Ironically it says something like mitsubishi strength! I can read a little japanese. (mitsubishi literally means three diamonds)
