Toyota reaches new milestone with fuel-cells

Toyota has reached a new milestone with the unveiling of an upgraded version of its fuel-cell prototype claimed to be 25% more fuel efficient than the current model. The car also has the added benefit of using less electricity to power its onboard equipment than previous versions.

Well, is it better than the one from Honda's FCX, though. FCX is one good looking (futuristic, at least) vehicle.

480 miles is good but I don't see it that good as far as for the fuel-cell technology claims to produce, as far as distance goes. My V8 can go on a full tang 400 miles. I think more should be expected from the fuel-cell, considering its cost, etc... To be a true future fuel, it should really have incredible numbers, otherwise it will just be another hybrid technology that is expensive and doesn't really help much in distance wise.

the hydrogen 7 from BMW is far too expensive for most. hopefully, this one will be affordable.
