Officially Official: 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X

What a great way to start Monday morning and the first of the month. Mitsubishi has just announced that they will be launching the new Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X at dealerships throughout Japan starting today. The new 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X will hit showrooms with a new design, new platform and a more powerful engine. Prices will range from ¥2,997,750 ($25,890) to ¥3,750,600 ($32,395).

The new Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X is powered by a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder 16-valve DOHC MIVEC engine that produces 295 horsepower and 300 ft-lbs. of torque. Besides everything else that’s new this year, the Mitsubishi Evo now has a Twin Clutch SST 6-speed automated manual transmission.

Models fitted with a Twin Clutch SST transmission won’t be launched until November.

Starting at just under $26K?! And thats with the 6spd man, (which I'd want) I doubt we'll get them that cheap here, it will start at 30k, no doubt. If it does start at 26k, I'll be driving one sooner than later...
