Chevrolet Trax to be the basis of a new small SUV?

GM’s Opel marketing team in Europe is studying the market for a plan to enter the small SUV market. The new model will give Opel a rival against the Fiat Sedici and Suzuki SX4. Chevrolet is also expected to follow Opel’s move.

If BMW and Toyota can unload all those Minis & Scions, respectively, then there is room in the market for the Trax in the US. Honda has made a dent with the Element also. Knowing this, GM must have something in the pipeline to compete against these increasingly popular small people-movers

They better study the SX AWD system carefully and try to outdo it. Also, offer it with a strong 4-banger diesel.
