Good comment re RWD Impala -- I do believe it's coming but too late for me as my current A6 Quattro lease expires in May 2008. I want a RWD Lucerne with LSD. I do not like Chevy's logo or engines with cylinder deactivation. The Lucerne can be ordered with Cadillac's DOHC NorthStar V8.

Like em' (SUV/X-Overs) or not, there will be far more people buying the Traverse than the Camaro...

Another Twin SUV from GM well, at least the enclave looks different the outlook and acadia only have different grills and lights. from the side they are identical.

Strangely enough, the Acadia looks best, even better than Buick's Enclave. The reason I would not buy any of them is that the front passenger seat lacks height adjustmnet and I bang my head on the roof getting into it. They have a transverse engine with a cheap AWD system that does not help if one entire side is on glare ice -- other than that, the Acadia is the cat's meow.

But GM has certainly shocked me with the improvements they are making. and I sure as hell didn't expect that quick of a turnaround. The G8 sounds like it'll be a hell of alot better than the charger/300c. At least you'll be able to see out the windows.

im with you completely. but their brand image to the general public is still a bargain car with nasty flimsy plastic. they should have adds showing statistics of better quality (sometimes better than the Asian makes) rather than just showcasing one car. Just an idea...

GM will be the only domestic manufacturer to survive but they need to push ahead with technical excellence and not rely on style alone.

I know I can't believe I have changed my thoughts of GM. I used to think of them as the worst domestic manufacturer due to their notorious electrical glitches. I have replaced countless instrument clusters and have been dumbfounded on electrical issues numerous times. the interiors were so cheaply made ( although not as bad as chrysler. Ford actually isn't too bad, however they are mostly just basic transportation and nothing really stands out on them. like they are just sitting back in the background quietly remaining inconspicuous while GM and chrysler get all the negative attention from everyone but die hard domestic only people. I am really amazed how well they have turned around. It proves we can build cars as good as the japanese. Pensions, retirement and health care cost so much money I wonder how GM managed to afford putting such better interiors and nicer ameneties in their cars.
