$100,000 SUV tax break to expire?

If you were holding off buying that SUV and getting the $100K tax break, you''d better not wait much longer...

The Wall Street Journal is reporting today that the loophole may be coming to an end soon.

The law is supposed to expire in 2005.

The chance of it getting extended until 2007 is looking worse and worse.

*Our suggestion is if you thinking about it, is to do it now, rather than at the end of the year.

Dealers become less motivated to discount the same amounts in December, because they know the have you under a barrel.

Useless loophole? That benefit is for people who own businesses and use trucks in the business. The fact that some SUVs fit in that category is a benefit to people like me, and a loophole for some percentage of the population. Am I dissapointed in fuel econmoy? Sure, like everyone who is not in the oil business. But your loophole might just be my liferaft, and vice-versa.

By the way, there are many dissadvantages to owning your own business, even profitable ones, trust me.
