Aston Martin DBR9

Aston Martin DBR9
The data of the series (DB9) are enough to get however around a notion of the performance of the DBR9. Already V12-Front-Mittelmotor with 5935 cm carries ³ 456 HP out with up to 570 Nm. That hands for keeps in track zero to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds and 300 km/h the point. The 1800 kg heavy DB9 costs approximately 144,000 euro - without running trim

I'd buy it, because it looks phenomenal.

Astons, for all their inherent greatness, have become little more than a case of 'same sausage - (slightly) different flavor'...

This one's just Extra Spicy!

Beautiful car! I have to read the specs to get a better idea if it is race worthy. 1800kg is for the DB9 not DBR9 and if it truly runs 5.1 0-100km/h; that is not impressive. Rather get a Viper or Z06 for much less.

Porschinator, you're a Porsche fan, so you wouldn't really understand Aston Martin's philosophy. I love Porsches- but I also love Astons, Ferraris, Lambos, etc. And these Brits just aren't about flat-out speed. They weren't built to outrun your rich neighbor's F430. They WERE built to give the driver a sense of occasion. You feel special when driving these cars. They're beautiful beyond words, inside and out. Their performance is exhilarating- even if they won't hang with your 997S. An Aston is an Aston... they are so unique, and I love them for that.

I love the performance of Porsches, but they just don't offer the same sort of sex appeal, exclusivity and style. Ferraris are amazing- and I would buy one over an Aston in a heartbeat, but they just wouldn't make sense for the places I drive. And Lamborghinis are awesome... but not for me. Aston Martins and Maseratis offer the kind of understated, elegant, seamless performance that I love.

BTW, I hate the Viper. POS in everything but straight-line speed.

I'd rather have a DBS, but any Aston would do, thanks!

i rolled up next to a v8 vantage today in my clk63 black series which arrived on monday and i laughed at the fact that i actually considered the aston as an alternative. i, ultimately, want to drive the car, and not sit and stare at it. But personal preferance right...

I agree. The CLK Black is incredible- nice choice.

The thing is, the Aston would be a secondary car if I ever got one. My main mode of transport would be something along the lines of an RS4, which is actually a lot more fun than an Aston Martin. But the beauty of them... wow!

I would definitely take a Black over a V8 Vantage, I agree. But I'd take an R8 over either. It looks better than the CLK, is easier to live with than the V8, is more luxurious than either and drives better than both.
