Subaru releases 3rd Impreza WRX STi teaser

Oh come on! Just release it already. Subaru today released the third image in their tease for the Impreza WRX STi.

The Subaru Impreza WRX STi will be unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show later this month. The car is expected to be powered by a 2.5 liter turbo engine that produces 300 horsepower.

Don't agree with your evaluation of EVO but I am royally pissed that Subaru is ruining its reputation by releasing such idiotic teasers that tell you nothing and waste your time.

New EVO is slower than last EVO, but handles better. New EVO looks much better and will pull customers from WRX. Subaru F'ed up and still only running 300BHP?!? Should have increased it to cover its new bulk.

Hopefully for Subaru they figure out a grill, preferably a good looking one 8-)

You know that's impossible for them. In the case of the B9 Tribeca, they went from having a horrendously ugly front end to a yawn-inducingly bland one. There is no perfect medium over at Subaru.

Although, and I'm surprised to say this, I'm liking the new STi a lot. Not as much as the new EVO, but it looks hot in these teasers.

The old front end reminds me of the 2-stroke Saabs that were sold in North America some 50 years ago, They had a lot of character. I'm used to the new Tribeca front end now and that vehicle is on my shopping list.

How many EVOs do you see running around vs WRXs? WRX far out sells the EVO. Always has. Mitsu has to play catch up.

Subaru has been serious aerospace business. They are building the worst looking cars that out-handle 95% of the competition (and 100% the competition in the same price class).

I am sure Toyota will help them with marketing while removing the soul of these cars. It will work, I am sure, long live mediocrity.
