Ferrari GT California confirmed! (kinda)

The rumors surrounding Ferrari’s Dino-that-can’t-be-called-a-Dino have dominated much of the Ferrari-related press lately, but it looks like Ferrari has something else up its sleeve for Detroit. As we reported two weeks ago, it is widely speculated that the so-called GT California will be a 2+2 configuration F430 variant with a direct-injection version of the current 4.3L V8 under the hood.

Maybe a 2+2 with the engine in front, which is the reason for the psuedo-599 test car every automotive site was talking about a couple weeks ago.

The California GT is rumored to be a comfort package while the F430s replacement (I hear it might be the F450) is said to be even more hardcore, possibly doing away with the need for specials similar to the Challenge Stradale and Scuderia in the future.
