2008 Cadillac CTS leads in sales of redesigned 2008 models

These are popping up everywhere in my neighborhood!

They are unbelievably handsome (inside and out) vehicles, and I'll be looking at them seriously to replace my E46/M3 when the V-Series surfaces.

Note: I get a feeling that they won't eat window regulators and brake-pads like Skittles... Unlike my lil' M'er does... LOL!

I'm not surprised. My wife and I took one out for a long test drive yesterday and it is definitely a candidate for replacing my A6 Quattro at the end of its lease next spring. The CTS feels a bit wider and roomier, has a larger trunk and lots of power. My wife complained only that Audi's seats a bit more comfortable and she can't judge where the front of the CTS is due to the way the hood slopes down. The CTS ride is more comfortable but it does not corner as well as the A6. CTS instrument lighting and radio display are excellent. I would get the CTS with RWD and LSD as I believe that the CTS AWD system is an el cheapo system not in the same league as Audi's Quattro. On balance, I would pick the CTS over the A6 because of its comfortable ride and competitive price.

GM is making things happen. Euro and Japanese guys will bash it, but after test driving one it is a close call with the BMW 3, MB C, or Lexus ES/IS. It didn't feel Euro, but more muscular, roomier, and felt manly'er...gotta drive it!

probably my next car - or the 2009 A4. Interior is nicer than the new C class hands down, and the 3 series. Still hard to go from German to Cadillac though. I'll have to work on that! Just a little too much bling and I don't know why Cadillac makes the 3rd brake light such a focal point. It takes away fromt the rear end of the car.

After test driving both, I have to declare that the new C-Class is not in the same league as the new CTS. The CTS is significantly roomier and more comfortable. The CTS also has superior interior fit and finish.

Only the S-Class is more desirable right now -- and, perhaps the next generation E-Class which is not yet available. The CTS is the best bang for the buck. The only thing missing on the current CTS is the DOHC NorthStar V8.

Saw a black one few days ago. MY GOD! this thing looks so mean. I gotta admit! GM did their very best and its showing off.

You're not lying! Saw one in Chicago yesteraday and Jesus that thing was SWEET. Black with Chrome wheels..nice. I'm with you, the V series is going to be crazy hot.

they've built a really good-looking car inside and out...and from the reviews so far it sounds like it's quite a bit of fun to drive.

This car is the embodiment of GM's commitment to improvement. If all of their cars were this good, they'd easily be the best-selling car company in the world. I love it!

I haven't seen a single one on the street yet (or the new Accord), but I'm waiting anxiously. Perhaps I just haven't looked hard enough?

Are any of the American auto manufacturers ever going to get the damn autoshifter right? Forward is downshift, and backward is upshift....GD!!!!
