Rolls-Royce at full production to meet unprecedented demand

Rolls-Royce Motor Cars announced today that the manufacturing plant at Goodwood is working at full production to meet unprecedented customer demand. Additional shifts and extended working hours have been introduced and will continue throughout the remainder of the year.

This level of demand is reflected in the quarterly sales figures, also announced today. By the end of September 2007 the company had retailed 22 per cent more cars compared to the same period last year with demand for all models increasing. Forward orders for the four-door models stretch well into 2008 and for the new Phantom Drophead Coupé, extend right through next year.

Not really. Bentley continues to go up in sales and profitability. Rolls-Royce is barely a blip on their radar screen.

I seem to be seeing a lot more Phantoms on the road lately....great road presence. Also saw the my first drophead out motoring on Pacific Coast Highway, top down, beautiful day, life looked good for that driver. :} Great job RR!

LOVE the Drophead... but is it worth two Continental GTCs? I don't think so. I'll take one GTC and one S65 AMG at that price.

you may fool a math idiot but this article only attempts to mislead and create a false sense of success at Rolls Royce.

Demand of RR could be 5 cars per year and capacity 4 cars per year thus making production really difficult to keep up with demand. You say 22% more sales? well, you can get that going from 4 to 5 cars sold.

Why is it that they HIDE their REAL sales figures???

HINT: They are being trounced by the much nicer and sportier Bentleys. BMW does not own the oroginal RR factories, design team or for that matter ANYTHING Rolls Royce, except for the NAME. Everything RR is today is BMW made. RR is no longer RR.
