I agree that the UAW might give up more then they did for GM - mostly because Cerberus is not interested in the VEBA that GM agreed to. BUT, Chrysler really needs their minivan plant in Brampton to stay open since they are just starting to reach full production. The CAW's contract isn't up until next year, but that plant will run out of parts within 24 hours and have to shut down. Chrysler has stockpiles of other vehicles, but they can't afford to lose production of their bread and butter.

Those overpaid workers should be fired. I'd love to see how they make it at a regular job. They couldn't go anywhere and make close to the money they make now. They are like spoiled children. And just think, these are the people that build our domestic cars. No wonder our cars suck so bad in quality and reliability compared to the japanese, although that gap is closing . I am not trying to be hateful, but they really don't know how good they have things. They are well overpaid. For the wages they make, I wouldn't go on strike risking my job. Where are you going to go? I say fire them all and start over with employees who want to work and will gladly take those good wages. Just my humble opinion.
