Top 8 Most Fuel-Efficient Hybrids

So last time we brought you a list of the Top 10 Least Fuel-Efficient Hybrid where Lexus dominated the list with all their hybrid variants. Today we bring you the list of the Top 8 Most Fuel-Efficient Hybrids put together by Forbes.

Since the average gas mileage of hybrid models in the U.S. is 33 miles per gallon (combined city and highway), Forbes decided to compile a list of Top 10 hybrids that get more than 32 miles per gallon.

Does anyone really buy that ugly green color these hybrids come in?

Before this erupts into a "crazy Lexus fan boy" vs. "arrogant German badge whore" debate, I'd just like to say that I too find that green color horid.

I hate how the same suv is listed 3 times.

2008 Ford Escape Hybrid: 32 mpg
2008 Mazda Tribute Hybrid: 32 mpg
2008 Mercury Mariner Hybrid: 32 mpg

It will be interseting though once we get more efficient diesels in the US. I am also curious to see a revised list once they start using the new EPA MPG test.
