Robocar 2057: Audi Virtuea Quattro

The last example today of the Robocar 2057 comes from Audi. For the 2007 LA Design Challenge the Volkswagen/Audi Design Center of California will present the Audi Virtuea Quattro. The Audi Virtuea Quattro is a single-seater hydrogen-powered vehicle.

The stuff of science fiction; but there are some practical concerns if it ever became real:

How will the virtual body affect other drivers? Imagine, if either by accident, mischief, or malfunction, the holographic appearance suddenly changed in transit from an average to a considerably bigger form. While the apparent body is not real, it's appearance would bewilder other drivers and cause adverse reactions (swerving, etc.) that may cause acidents. I suppose they can counter that by preventing transformations while in transit, but a machine is a machine and malfunctions/ hacking are always inherent.

Also, a person could commit a crime in one body form and escape by transforming into another body form. However, I assume they can make the car always leave a unique signature that makes it traceable on-the-go.
