Subaru returning to FWD cars

Subaru has long held a dear place in the hearts of rally fans and people that live in icy, wet, or unpaved regions. But it has always been something of a niche maker, never reaching mass-market audiences with its AWD-only lineup. They want to make a play for the warm climate spots so this and added fuel economy is probally the way to go to gain some market share other then cold weather towns.

Isn't this too close to the Corolla in overall market placement?

And I had no idea they were involved in re-uglifying the Impreza.
