2008 Dodge Challenger Production Version Scooped Without Camo!

These are the first pictures of the 2008 Dodge Challenger production version featured without a trace of camouflage. The camera phone shots were taken during a Chrysler dealer announcement show in Las Vegas this past week. Thankfully, Dodge has remained loyal to the 2006 concept with minor differences including the adoption of a (invisible) B-pillar, revised tail-lights, slightly redesigned rear bumper that’s about an inch longer in order to comply with safety regulations and the addition of a boot spoiler for the SRT8 version.

I looks like they ditched the crosshair truck grill! Yea! Now if they can just keep the slimey dealers from gouging the public with mark-ups on the sticker price, I'd buy one.

This vehcile has taken so long to bring to market, that I really just don't care anymore...

They came out as concepts last year.

They were not slated to go into production AT ALL until they were so well-received.

It looks fine even with that B-pillar. But Why? Is the buying public really asking for a a big, heavy coupe? I think this car will sell in small numbers, there will be strong initial sales and this car will have big discounts in 6 months. This car is so late and the Camaro will be a bigger dud. Why did it take so long for Chrysler to put a 2-door body on the 300/Magnum platform?

The body styling looks OK i guess, but knowing Dodge and Chevy, they will throw in a bunch of plastic for the interior panels, no monitors, and a cheap, all black 1-piece radio that can also be found in the Cobalt.
