I agree. Neither do it for me, don't like those weird things on the side of the Audi. And the Porsche is looking very dated...

Nothing new, every single review about the R8 is just praising the car ... In the last 10-15 reviews they all love it, clearly the best Audi to date.

I love this car... and if they really wanted to compare straight-line times, shouldn't they have brought a C4S?

Comparing cars with similar pricing. I believe a C4S would bring the price a bit higher than the Audi R8.

Really?

R8 base price: $109,000

C4S coupe base price: $89,700

I know Porsche charges options for everything, and the car could easily end up being more expensive than the R8, but for comparison purposes, it isn't even close.

I don't think it matters really which Carrera S is being compared whether it be C2 or C4. I think getting options like the PCCB, X51 Powerkit, LSD, and sport suspension the car is highly comparable.

Very fun review, the R8 was much faster on the race track. It posted an excellent time on a half-wet track.

Because it had AWD and was way more powerful. The Porsche has LESS torque and LESS power yet in a straight-line it beat the R8.

A Carrera 2/4S with LSD, PCCB and x51 would probably match it on the track too.

I doubt you could find any dealer that would sell you an R8 for "base price". I think $120,000 is more like it. That puts it into GT3 catagory. I would take the GT3.
