Tesla Roadster wins prestigious design award

Tesla Motors, a manufacturer of high-performance electric cars, has received the Gold Award by the Industrial Designers Society of America and Business Week Magazine for International Design Excellence. With more than 3,300 members and 28 chapters IDSA is the voice of the industrial design profession, advancing the quality and positive impact of design.

Wow, I wonder if they spent the five minutes needed to figure out that it is a $100,000 tarted up electric Elise.

lol, well its the green agenda. They pretty much will award anything that said "hybird" on it.

You will probably be 100% greener if you just buy the elise and donate $50k for any environmental offset project. I am sure those batteries in the Tesla don't pollute or they send it to space after they are dead.

Wow, you guys don't get it at all. Go to Tesla's website and take a look at the torque curves, electric vs. gas.
