Hopefully a complete restyling...

Though I guess, with this silly horse-power war in full swing, more power is appropriate...

Restyling is not necessary for M5, but definitely must for M6, especially the front.

I love some of those reader reviews, very objective!

*rolls eyes*

1. The IS250 is the perfect car? 100 points...

2. Lamborghini Gallardo... loses points because it doesn't have LED lighting

3. Audi A3 -98 points.

Yet combining the conclusions of Magazine articles I've read...

1. Lexus IS250 -well built but engine is 'like a sewing machine' -EVO magazine

2. Lamborghini Gallardo - Fantastic car in almost all regards (2006 revisions) five star rating.

3. Audi A3 -Three stars. Well built but dull to drive with steady handling and numb steering.

This is Autospies after all...

The de-boosting troll is up to his old tricks.

It's ridiculous. YOu are right.

And who might these 'trolls' be?

Anyone who's opinion differs from your own?

Just curious...

I thought my comments were quite neutral, and those who are de-boosting me are doing so because they don't like me, regardless of what I have to say.

Either way, people are more inclined to read my posts if they are deemed 'controversial'!

I think some people do not have a comprehensive driving history, so when a person who rates the IS250 highly, it might be because he/she hasn't driven much of anything else to put it into perspective. Automotive magazines have writers who've been in the business for years and have drove just about every car ascending from all parts of the world. There is a chance the IS250 is the best car they have driven, which is possibly the reason for its high praise.

Any reviews considering sports car here, I ignore because chances are they are all fictional.

Another point I want to make is that I would take them for what they are. It is a group of people who love cars with a different judging criteria than others. It would be one thing if the scores of the Gallardo, IS250, and A3 were scored by the same person. Since we know they are not, again, take them for what they are.

If you would actually read my review of the A3, you could see why I like it. I'm sorry that I formulate different opinions than you. The amount of points I gave it doesn't mean I think it's better than my other cars--it's just an incredible vehicle for the money.

As for the IS250 review... that's a little ridiculous. The A3 is significantly quicker and it gets better mileage.

I was surprised at the Gallardo review, also.

it looks like bmw is trying to tell you don't buy the RS6 because one day the BMW will have the same hp

It doesn't need more power! 520-525 horsepower (this is what the M6/M5 really make, not 507) is ENOUGH!

It already does 204 mph and goes from 0-60 in under 4.5 seconds! This is ridiculous!

The M5 and M6 have both been clocked at 4.1 seconds 0-60 and 12.4 in the 1/4. Uh, that is pretty quick, right on par with (or a hair quicker even) the Audi R8, which pretty much everyone has been calling "the everyday supercar". I don't think many people are complaining about that vehicle's performance. It's also quicker than every Aston Martin, a Ferrari or two, a couple of 911 variants, etc. So for a luxury sedan and a luxury GT cruiser those numbers are pretty good. Seriously, how fast do you need your luxury car to be?

oh well in that case that totally makes sense. I mean who cares that the M5 and M6 are much heavier and more oppulent four and five passenger luxury cars, they have V10's instead of just a V8!!! They MUST be faster or I refuse to be impressed! I don't care that that Formula 1-derived V10 that win International Engine of the Year is 5.0L and the Z06 V8 is 7.0L and both make the same amount of power, that means nothing! Unless the M5 and M6 luxury cars are faster than that purpose-built road going racecar it doesn't matter! I don't care that they're as fast as the equivalent Mercedes AMG models with 6.2L V8's, or similar Audi R and RS models, or several Porsches or Ferrari's! No, those don't matter one bit, all that matters is the Z06! It's not like BMW markets the M5 against the E63 or RS6, right? Hell no, it's the Z06 it competes with!!!

Idiot.

Great reply J-Rob.

The Z-06 is probably close to 1000 lbs. lighter than an M5. Of course it's faster!

What kind of a dumbass are you?

"I'm not saying it directly competes with the Corvette, just that I'd like to see its performance bumped up to keep it competitive, thats all."

It DOESN'T. The M5 is a super-fast four-door luxury sedan. The Z06 (with the SAME POWER) is a two-door sports car that was built to be. Why are you comparing them? And as I said, the M5 doesn't need a power boost- it's getting one, but it's unnecessary. For the average person, a 535i is more than enough.

utah, you're making a ridiculous comparison, 99.9% of the cars on the road are slower than a Z06. Yes, that includes the M5 and M6. And every Mercedes AMG, every Audi R/RS (including the R8), the Lamborghini Gallardo, every Ferrari but the 599 and Enzo, every Porsche but the Carrera GT and turbo 911 variants, etc. Every Bentley is slower, including the new GT SPEED, and so is every Aston Martin. That doesn't make any of those vehicles less desirable. And let me tell you something -- I've been out on a racetrack in the M5 and M6 with a pro driver, and for the type of cars they are and the classes they compete in, they are incredible. I'd roll an M5 over a Z06 every day of the week and twice on Sunday. In fact I'd take any car I just mentioned over the Z06, because I want more than just a road going track car, which is what the Z06 basically is. They don't compete. Not even a little.

The Veyron has 1,000 horsepower idiot! In two cars with similar horsepower, the lighter car will be faster. The Veyron is much heavier than a Z06, but it also has an additional 500 horses.

Go somewhere and hang your self. You are too stupid to live.

I'm tired of hearing people gush about the S5. It's nice, but it looks like something from the late 1980's.

You've never seen one. Its designer--a guy who has made Alfas and Lambos in the past--said it was the most beautiful car he's ever created.

The M5 although I have never driven it looks amazing. However, I do think the 5 series design is ugly and this is coming from a BMW owner.
