MR Sweden Volvo C30 D5
The Volvo D5 5-cylinder engine from the factory develops 185 hp. MR Sweden gives it 40 hp more to reach a total of 225 hp for the MR Sweden Volvo C30 D5.

Apart from the obvious aerodynamic modifications the MR Sweden Volvo C30 D5 is also equipped with a Lübecker sports air filter and a modified engine control unit.

The MR Sweden Volvo C30 D5 is powered by a 2.4 liter 5-cylinder turbo-diesel engine with common rail technology that develops 165 kW/225 hp at 4,100 rpm and 432 Nm of torque at 2,400 rpm.

nice styling...sincethe concept was introduced, i knew this vehicle would be a looker.

i really wish the Volvo-R division didnt stop. they produced truly nice and sporty looking vehicles under the R badge.

Considering the capability of other FWD cars with similar hp....0-60 in barely under 7seconds. and a 1/4 of under 16seconds.

Manual tranny and 320 ft.lbs of torque should yield a 0-60 run closer to 6.0sec. A Saturn Ion Redline will do it in 6 1/2 seconds with 100 ft.lbs or so less in torque.

I added some fluff in there because diesels have a longer stroke....the engine won't be spinning as fast as a gasoline engine. You might be right though; we'll never know.

The D5 combination with the automatic gearbox is terrible.
