VW Microbus back on the table?
It may seem like a strange alliance, but Volkswagen and British rock group The Who have joined forces. And the result could see the return of the firm’s much loved camper van.

The previous 'MicroBus' concept was very nice, but I'm not as enthusiastic about the rendering that accompanies this article.

There was a leaked pic of the new VW minivan based on the Chrylser van. It was fuzzy and only the rear was shown. It looked contemporary, but it was only the back.

I agree, the first "concept" microbus is the way they should go. It had all the right stuff; correct proportions and cool up to date features. Even though its been a few years since it debuted, it still looks right. I would be one of the first in line for one.

The first Microbus concept was pretty, but it was tantamount to a Deadhead sticker on a Cadillac - too bling and too expensive. The Microbus needs to be more basic - more like the xB. IMO, VW is making the right move. They just should have done it 8 years ago - before Scion did it.
