Ford to debut 9 tuned trucks and CUVs at SEMA

Along with nine tuned Ford Focus models, Ford will be debuts nine trucks and crossovers at the 2007 SEMA show.

“CUVs continue to be the fastest-growing vehicle segment in the U.S., and we want to make sure buyers know there will be abundant personalization choices for them,” said Kim Irwin, vehicle personalization and accessory manager. “By working with some of the best after market up-fitters and customizers, we are offering our Escape, Edge and Lincoln MKX buyers some dramatic interpretations of their vehicles.”

The lineup will include tuned versions of the Ford Edge, Escape, Lincoln MKX, Ford F-150 and others.

they can showcase as much as they want...Ford cant expect to change buying preferences through aftermarket support.

Why can't Ford use this money to develop a better Focus or Fusion? I don't think people would miss them from this show.

If GM and Chrysler couldn't copy Ford engineering they would have a hard time putting a vehicle on the road. It would be really unique for either company to have an original thought, particularly GM.
