The Land Cruiser is more respected outside the US.

Does have a slight resemblance to the forester in that picture at the bottom of the page. Overall it doesn't look much like a forester though.

No where near the iconic look of the 1996 version! Go back to the drawing board!

This is a Land Cruiser Prado Model. The same chassis framework used in the FJ cruiser and is basically the Lexus GX470, with a 4.0 liter V6 or 3.0 Turbo diesel intercooler engine in markets outside the USA. This is not the "real" Land Cruiser, which by the way was recently introduced as the all new model 200 series.

How the heck is the (old body style) Land Cruiser Prado Toyota's Top of the Line SUV?

This place seriously needs an editor...

That's not a range topping land Cruiser. It's a Prado(Land Cruiser Prado)avialable here in Middle East in two variants (4.0 V6) and GX (2.7 I4) and it sits below the legendary Toyota LC but over all other Toyota SUVs in the world like Highlander, FJ Cruiser, Rav4, Fortuner...etc

other trim TX is also available in some Asian countries.

You guys got it ALLLLLLLLLLLL wrong. This Land Cruiser is not the Prado nor was it based on the FJ and 4-Runner platform. The vehicle is a ladder box-frame with multi-link live axel based off of the military gradee Mega Cruiser platform available only in Asia.

Sure, Whatever...

I lived in Japan for over 10 years, and visit there often, and the vehicle pictured is the LAND CRUISER PRADO which is little more than a version of the Toyota 4Runner, which is the platform on which the FJ Cruiser is built upon, and is better known in the U.S. as the Lexus GX470.

Of course! Electronic Traffic Avoidance features are always a must in the Australian Outback!

That is a Prado, and yeah *yawn* another big boring product from Toyota! I'll rather take an Expedition or a Tahoe or something..
