Team Cadillac Calls It Quits On Racing After This Year
Cadillac's SCCA Speed World Challenge racing program is finished. The team's appearance this weekend at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca-where it can claim both the drivers' and manufacturers' titles-will be its last, at least for the near future.

GM road-racing boss Steve Wesoloski declined comment, but Joanne Krell, Cadillac director of public relations, said, "Cadillac is out of racing for the time being as it focuses on its core business."

Krell said the high-end carmaker will focus attention on ways to address the needs of the luxury market without racing.

The Series did not recieve the type of attention it had hoped, as they only compete with privateer teams, since the SCCA mangled the rules so much that it made it unfair for Audi.
