Tokyo Auto Show: Honda gives the S2000, Type S treatment

Honda has announced the S2000 Type S, which will make its official debut at the Tokyo Motor Show starting tomorrow. The car is really, our pride and joy, the S2000 CR version for the Japanese folks. Honda just badged the car Type S.

I'd think that the E30/M3 will be much more highly/regarded as time passes than the E46/M3...

Even today, I regret selling my E30/M3, though my E46/m3 is a very good performer.

I do have to agree that the S2000 has potential to attain 'classic' status, but just as Honda did with the NSX, the S2000 is being left to rot in a market that really doesn't seem to care much for its abilities any longer.

Remove and Replace!

The E30 M3 had a 2.3 liter inline 4 and later replaced by a 2.5 liter inline 4

Ugly. When the old ladies have plastic surgery, they remain old.
The S2000 looks like a drawing of child. The rear spoiler is ... I cannot describe!

My fiance's mother owns a 2004 S200 in red bought brand new off the showroom. The car was an 04 leftover that they wanted to get rid of, she picked it up for $27,000. Such a hot car. I installed the headrest speakers for her for Christmas last year and during the winter we keep it in the garage on a trickle charge with padding under the tires. Once a week I start it up and let it run for a little bit ad give it an oil change at the end and beginning of the season.

The thing is a beast, 240hp rocket if you ask me. The fun to drive factor is phenomenal and the 6 speed is so smooth, the car so tight, people look no matter where you go cause the sound it makes is just intense.

The S2000 is certainly an entertaining car to drive, but I also find it rather tiring after a while because you have to 'whip it' to within an inch of its life to really get things going.

Those that love them (mainly Honda V-TEC faithfuls) really LOVE them, but most others just don't care.

Since when did the S2000 get a 2.3 liter, I thought they had the 2.2 liter engine
