Tokyo Motor Show: Subaru WRX STi revealed with 304hp
It doesn’t get anymore official than this. Subaru officially revealed the new WRX STi at the Tokyo Motor Show today. While before we weren’t getting any numbers from Subaru on the power output, we now finally know that the 2.0 liter 4-cylinder Dual AVCS 16 Valve DOHC twin scroll turbo engine produces 304 horsepower.

The Subaru WRX STi goes on sale nationwide in Japan today and should arrive in the U.S. in the middle of next year.

Surprisingly enough, there is still more information and pictures to come. The folks at Subaru are really ‘teasing’ us with this one. Check back later for the 0-60 time and stuff like that.

The car is definitely growing on me. The new Sti looks almost as mean as the car it replaces. I can't wait to see one up close.

From the description of the drivetrain I have to admit that the awd system is even better than Audi's but i wish it were available with a normally aspirated H6 engine and a six-speed automatic transmission.
