The next M-Class

I think the up coming M-class is an update. It still look like a minivan.

It looks like, well, an ML. If that's what you look for in a $50k vehicle I guess you will like it. Frankly, as an auto enthusiast, I cannot understand the obsession with SUV's. My 70 year old father-in-law justifies them because he does not have to bend over to get in. There's a practical reason (and from a demographic that is not particularly attractive to a Mercedes). That said, for most auto buyers, SUV's are not fun, they look like the boxes that the performing/good looking cars come in and they are road hogs. Mercedes should invest the $$, time and effort that goes into the ML design/production in restoring the high quality to the cars that earned it the reputation it had until it decided to be all things to all people.
