BMW 123d Coupe Review

Imagine a car with more power than the most powerful Lotus Elise, with better acceleration and a higher top speed than the latest VW Golf GTI. Now imagine that same car using less fuel than the smallest-engined Ford Fiesta, while also emitting less CO2. That would seem straight out of science fiction.

God I wish they would bring the hatch and this engine to N/A. I would buy it in a heartbeat. The 1 series is going to be hot and it hopefully is just a matter of a model year I hope!

Why not? Is it because it will be too expensive? We would love to have a 54 mpg diesel 123D here in the US if BMW can make it affordable. It is a 4 cylinder car, and not a V6.

Amazing engine. Another reason for BMW to win engine awards..
