Pontiac G8 GT unveiled in SEMA

Less radical than the heavily modified Solstice, Pontiac’s G8 GT SEMA edition is more of a fine-tuned version of the car that will be hitting North American dealer lots early next year. Interestingly, aside from some cosmetic details, most of what you see in the pictures is actually production trim.

The vibrant orange color is sure to grab eyes even on the raucous SEMA showroom floor. The theme is carried inside with leather seat inserts, door panels and the instrument panel pad all finished in the same bright orange. The 20in wheels are unique to the show car.

The V8-powered G8 GT SEMA Edition sports the same 361hp motor found in the production model. The six-speed automatic with Driver Shift Control is also a production unit. Four-wheel independent suspension, ABS and traction control are all standard equipment as well.
