2007 SEMA Show: 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt SS with 260hp (Live Images)
GM has revealed the new 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt SS at the 2007 SEMA Show. The Chevrolet Cobalt SS will go on sales in the second quarter of 2008.

Powered by a 2.0 liter Ecotec turbocharged and intercooled engine the Cobalt SS produces 260 horsepower with the ability to do 0-60 in 5.7 seconds. Along with its “no-lift shift” feature along with its Nurburgring-tuned FE5 Sport suspension which delivers 0.9 g grip, the Cobalt SS lapped the Nurburgring in with a time of 8:22.85.

The 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt SS gets some aggressive styling with a new front and rear fascias. The car rides on 18-inch high-polished forged aluminum wheels. The car also gets Brembo fixed-caliper front discs and vented rear disc brakes.
