GM launches new Chevy Special Vehicles division, new 412hp CR8

GM Holden and its performance arm Holden Special Vehicles (HSV) have confirmed plans to import a LHD version of the E Series ClubSport R8 model to the Middle East where it will be badged under the Chevrolet Special Vehicles (CSV) logo. The new high performance model will be known as the CR8 and it will feature the same LS2 6.0L Generation IV V8 as found back home.

Peak output stands at 412hp (307kW) and 550Nm (405lb-ft) of torque, with drive sent to the rear wheels via six-speed automatic or manual transmissions. The new car will make its world debut at the Dubai Motor Show, which falls on the 14th of this month.
