Video: Subaru Impreza WRX STi goes on sale in Japan
The Subaru Impreza WRX STi has gone on sale in Japan. The Japanese folks will be cashing out ¥3.654 million for the 2.0 liter Dual AVCS 16 Valve DOHC twin scroll turbo engine. That’s approximately $32,000 U.S. dollars.

The U.S. will once again get a 2.5 liter single turbocharger engine that produces close to 304 horsepower. How does that match up to the new Mitsubishi Lancer EVO? Well, the new 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X is powered by a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder 16-valve DOHC MIVEC engine that produces 295 horsepower and 300 ft-lbs. of torque. Not a bad match-up.

actually, there was a thread in NASIOC.com about viewing of the STI & EVO in reality in JPN. I'll try to get it if possible.
