It needs a diet, badly...

That's the weight of the RS6 Avant. The RS6 sedan will probably be around 4200lbs. That's only about 200lbs heavier than the C63 AMG.

Which is already overweight. No need for excuses, it is a very heavy car.

Yes, I know, but in this class it's not ridiculous. It is not much (if any?) heavier than the previous RS6.

I agree, I don't think I would be rushing to cancel an order for a Jaguar XFR!!!

The 2025kg figure is from the RS6 Avant. Expect the sedan to be about 50kg lighter.

Even then it's still 300 lbs heavier than its competition. I dont like the recent trend for heavier and heavier "high performance" vehicles. For that reason, I applaud the XJR's use of lightweight materials. Sill has all the extra's, minus the weight.

6-spd tiptronic? pretty outdated .. why didnt Audi offer a DSG or 7-spd transmission?

Because they're still developing the DSG, so there's no need for a seven-speed... it just can't handle this engine's incredible power and torque yet. Believe me, it won't matter once this car is reviewed and on the road.

I think the "next generation" of Audis (starting with the A8 I think) will have a 7 speed DSG.

The RS6 will spank the M's as it routinely does.

580 horsepower, twin turbo V10 will demolish your tiny NA 500 horsepower V10 M5.

The M5 will eat the RS6 exhaust fumes.

The RS5 with its huge torque output of 500 lb/ft. and also the next RS4 will both run over the M3.
