A hint of what the next Lexus LS will look like

this car looks as race-bred as a ferrari except i doubt lexus will go this all out on that car. it will probably be milder than this and so it wont look like this. but it wud b nice if lexus did something like this...then i wud seriously consider lexus as a competitor for my cash.

Uhh Japan barely has enough room to build an airport let alone airplanes. I live near boeing and it takes a lot of room.

Then again neither airbus or boeing are profitable, so there is no incentive for the japanese to build planes.

Typical Japanese styling (Except for new Infinitis) ...boring. All the Camrys, Accords, and Acuras look the same up front. So does the upcoming MB S Class. Have the automakers run out of imagination and creativity?

To all;
1) hard to deny Lexus is the best at quality
2) hard to deny BMW is best at handling
3) hard to deny MB has the most heritage

Other facts:
People have different tastes. My grandfather and all his buddies love the Lexus. Younger buyers prefer sportier models like the Audi's, MBs and BMWs.
People have different priorities when buying a car. Some rather a realiable car over anything else (who cares how safe or how well it performs) and some rather a safe and high performing machine with looks that actually are inspiring, despite not having the best reliability score, but close to it.
Ironically, the most improved brand, both in quality, image and sales is Audi. Audi only two years ago was a below average in quality ... now it surpasses BMW and its closing in on the Japanese. It's won the respect of the European media and buyers by earning design and style awards for every model line, including, Best Luxury Car (A8), Best Executive Car (A6), Best Sports Sedan (A4), highest safety rating (A3), etc, etc.
Reliability and quality are important, but I'm not going to cry over one or two extra trips to the shop during the 3-4 years of ownership. I much rather enjoy the ride, comfort, safety and looks of my car. A BIG turn off... copy cats, can't get more blatant thean the LS and the IS with the S-Class and 3-Series respectively.
BTW, all Lexus fans ... look at the average age of owners ...Lexus is up there with Goerge Washington and Abe Lincoln. Good luck in attracting your future buyer base!!! Talk about shrinking returns. Hehehe!

It does not matter who came out with these awful contaptions first, because whoever designed clear tail lenses did not contribute one bit to the evolution of the automobile. It is merely a stying gimmick, of no engineering or functional importance.

On the subject of the new LS, even if this is just a computer-generated guess of the up-coming LS, all I can say is that it looks rubbish. it looks like a generic saloon that has been 'riced' up by someone who never attended art college. It's uninspiring and a bold statement in tackiness if ever I saw one.

The same could be true for the Lexus fans. All they seem to go on about when referring to German cars is their reliability! It's like they don't have anything else to say.

And on the lexus copying topic, the evidence is before your eyes! Comments on Autospies by Japanese posters confirm it, almost everyone confirms it, even many Lexus fans, and yet, it is still denyed.

And just look at that LS430 posted by Shroom Dealer. It has a totally flat side profile, lacking inspiration, the front is bloated and ungainly, the wing mirrors are straight off the Hilux, and the alloy wheels look like after-market hubcaps. It has, what I like to call, the 'yawn factor'
