the vehicle was pulled due to the fact that the body style would be changed so it could reach a top spead of 220mph. it was currently at 205mph and it was decided that a redesign of exterior would help accomplish the higher mph.

Lexus take all the time you need, once you release it, it better be on par or beat the Nissan GT-R. The Nissan GT-R is doing a really good job by giving all the German engineers, and their fanboys nightmare.

So I can't wait to see what the Lexus LF-A and Honda NSX will do to them.

I think the GT-R is not giving the Germans as big of a scare as it is giving their domestic rivals, ie. LF-A & NSX.

I think in any case, the LF-A is a disappointment so far. The hype/anticipation before its release has killed it. The bar needs to be raised higher now.

The GT-R is hardly giving the Germans a nightmare, as good a car as it is. If it was they'd make a direct competitor to it. The LF-A won't really compete with it either, they're different types of car.

The LF-A will not be pure performance like that of the GTR. Expect something more like the new Maserati, beautiful and powerful but not the best performer for the money.

Nissan designed and released the GTR as a Nissan because it is a pure performance car. The LF-A will be for fashionistas.

To be honest... I am not excited for this car at all and it doesn't do anything for me. I have no idea why, because it probably should. But it doesn't. It doesn't have a particularly sexy design. It doesn't have a guaranteed great drive. It might be overpriced. And there are so many other options on the market right now.

But it's the design that turns me off, like MunichRob said. There's not much about it that says "Lexus" to me, and it's not very sexy.

Will wait and see what Lexus comes up with. It will probably be quite different as the last concepts are several years old already. It will probably be pretty good, but no hype please.

The Nissan GT-R is a phenomenal car, but let's face it, it doesn't compete with anything the Germans have from a price point of view. German performance cars are still considered luxury, the GT-R isn't and would literally fall under the "upper mainstream market" category.

This means that the GT-R is literally in a class of its own, until perhaps Honda releases a theoretical next-generation NSX (or Toyota, Mitsubishi etc.).

a loaded M3 is costing around $70k, if not $75k. a GTR is expected to come in around $75-80k....

price point of view and performance, the GTR wins...you have the numbers/videos/pix to prove its capabilities.

and as far as luxury, the GTR won't be considered luxury, but i do expect the M3 CSL to be rite in competition with the GTR. we'll have to wait and see how that plays out...

The GTR is more advanced than the M3. Different class.
