L.A. Auto Show: Vector Avtech WX-8 to be revealed
At the Los Angeles Auto Show we will definetely see some surprises…Vector, the exotic American automaker, announced that it will reveal its latest creation, the Vector Avtech WX-8. The Avtech WX-8 will be a serious competitor for the Bugatti Veyron due to its performances: 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds and a top speed of around 270 mph. At that speed the car should be able also to stop and for this the automaker added 15-inch diameter competition brake rotors with 6 piston calipers capablr to provide some phenomenal braking capabilities. The Vector A-WX8 features an all-new titanium valve 7.0 liter, 750 + hp engine which is unequaled in displacement and performance. The Supercharged engine has horsepower potential to 1200+hp.

And the Jerry Wiegert tradition of hype and failure continues into its third decade.

the front looks like late-90's Camaro, and the back looks like it's 1.5x longer than it's supposed to be. Overall it is hideous.

I was just getting ready to say the very same thing. What's up with that. The 90's weren't that great an era for automotive design. Way to soon to do a retro 90's anything.

Kind of makes you want to grow a mullet doesn't it?

If it does 270, then its form follows function.

I wait for the official speed instead of this 270mph estimated speed. Anyway it ugly compare to the Bugatti Veyron.

This car had 750+ hp under it hood, and goes from 0-60 in 3.3s, that is slow if you ask me. With all that horse power, it should be faster than that.

The new Nissan GT-R only had 470hp I belief, it fly from 0-60 in 3.5s or less. Just imagine you give the GT-R another 300hp, it will probably do it in the lower 2s range.
