LA Auto Show: Volkswagen Space Up! Blue (live images)

Volkswagen today showed of their third variant of the Volkswagen Up! concept with the Volkswagen Space Up! Blue. Based on the Volkswagen Space Up! shown at the Tokyo Motor Show, the electric motor powered Space Up! Blue does 65 miles on battery power alone.

The Volkswagen Space Up! Blue is the world’s first high temperature fuel cell that runs on an array of twelve lithium-ion batteries. That allows the Space Up! Blue to drive up to 220 miles on a single “energy charge”.
