LA Auto Show: 2009 Nissan Murano unveiled (live images)

Nissan today unveiled the new 2009 Nissan Murano at the 2007 LA Auto Show. For 2009, the Nissan Murano gets redesign while keeping the overall feel of the SUV the same.

The new 2009 Nissan Murano is powered by a 3.5 liter DOHC V6 engine that produces 265 horsepower. The engine is mated with the new advanced Xtronic CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission), with a front-wheel drive or an advanced all-wheel drive drivetrain.

The 2009 Nissan Murano will be available in five models including S 2WD, S AWD, SL 2WD, SL AWD and LE AWD. The 2009 Murano is scheduled to hit dealers nationwide in early January 2008.

Again i don't get these board rooms and what are they thinking. The Murano is a nice machine good 09' refinement so why did Nissan need to confuse everybody with the Rogue?

Hmm... no 3rd row but most of its competition has one now. It didn't have to be a roomy 3rd row but its nice to have when needed. Otherwise its definitely a step up from the old model although if you don't look at it that closely, you could mistake it for the current model.

At first when I looked at the front I was like WTF! But it grew on me and I think it's pretty cool looking! It has some appeal that I can't describe. lol

Maybe i'm being a little too opinionated, but I think the Murano has been one butt-ugly vehicle since it's inception. I've haven't seen a single person in my city of 130k, driving one of these things. I think the "fatchick/scooter" analogy applies to the Murano; tons of fun when no one's looking.
