L.A. Auto Show: Honda FCX Clarity unveiled

Honda FCX Clarity represents the next generation, zero-emission, hydrogen-powered based on the new fuell concept platform called Honda V Flow. The new V Flow FC Stack introduces a cell structure in which hydrogen and air flow vertically, and gravity is used to facilitate more efficient drainage of the water byproduct from the electrical generation layer. The result is greater stability in power generation. The new structure also allows flow channel depth to be reduced by 17% - a major contributing factor in creating thinner cells and a more compact stack. Honda plans to deliver first FCX Clarity to a limited number of retails consumers in Southern California in 2008.

To bad they dropped some of the styling ques from the concept that actually gave some eye appeal, typical Honda. However, this will be what kind of motivation we'll be debating in the next 15-20 yrs, ie. who has the most volts and who goes the farthest, Audi, BMW etc. All this car needs for success is an infrastructure for Hydrogen refueling.

It's Honda-Logical evolution of the concept car, but...

Very toned-done, yet still recognizable.

It works very well at doing something that no other Honda Hybrid/Efficiency Specialty Vehicle has done since the Insight...

- Looking Unlike Anything Else In The Honda Lineup -

I think that it will do very well, and I see this vehicle and the Accord becoming one as early as the next generation.

I think this might be the first time the production model looks better than the concept car. I like it. It's like a bigger Civic.
