LA Auto Show: 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo - unofficial pricing info

Mitsubishi today showed off their new Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution MR at the LA Auto Show. The main difference between the Mitsubishi Evo GSR and the Evo MR is that the MR has the new Twin Clutch SST 6-speed automated manual transmission with paddle shifting. The Evo GSR comes standard with a 5-speed manual transmission.

The new 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution GSR and MR are powered by a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder 16-valve DOHC MIVEC engine that produces 295 horsepower and 300 ft-lbs. of torque.

Models fitted with the Twin Clutch SST transmission won’t be launched until November. However, talking to the Mitsubishi PR at the press conference we got some ballpark pricing info for you. The 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo GSR will carry a price tag around...

Big imporovement from the old Evos styling wise. Glad to see they got rid of the completely riduclous wings for a more subtle look. Still not subtle though!
