The description of the article states a 2.0L, whereas in the article, both a 2.0L and a 2.5L are mentioned. Which is it really?

Also, is the US really getting the twin scroll?

No twin scroll. Its a variation/update of the VF39 used on the 04-06 STI, same as used on the 07. VF34. US market gets a 2.5L. Japan gets the 2.0 to keep class, and to be able to compete in the WRC.

Well I don't know about you guys, but to me this STi is just awesome. It looks totally aggressive, very sporty, and has plenty of punch. I will agree that the regular Impreza and the WRX version are kind of tame, but this is one is all together a new ball game. I think i like this hatch even better than the EVO, and by the way i am not trying to jeopardize the EVO by passing on senseless negative comments, that many bloggers in this site tend to do. But i, with full faith, actually like the STi more than the EVO X. If it was a choice between the Ralliart and the WRX, i'll obviously want the EVO Ralliart, but this STi is just so much more mean than the EVO X, that i can not stop myself from liking it over the EVO.

I called this at the beginning of 07 when the new design was being discussed.

I think they're keeping the WRX looking lame/blah to boost sales of the STI.
