LA Auto Show: BMW brings the M3 Sedan back to the U.S.
BMW has brought back the BMW M3 Sedan to the United States. Revealed today at the LA Auto Show, the BMW M3 Sedan will arrive in U.S. dealerships… The M3 Sedan was originally offered in 1986 powered by a 2.3 liter four-cylinder engine that produced 192 horsepower. Of course much has changed since then.

The new 2008 BMW M3 Sedan is powered by a 4.0 liter V8 engine that produces a total of 414 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. The four-door BMW M3 Sedan goes from 0-60 in 4.9 seconds while the coupe does it 4.8. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a close-ratio six-speed manual gearbox.

I agree with you there fastone...the rear, esp tail lights, is much better in the coupe. Too bad I need a sedan...

I agree, love everything about the coupe but with the sedan, I love everything but the tail-lights.

I was thinking the same thing about the tail lights. I have a 330Ci ZHP that came with the M3 LED tail lights and those are beautiful. Why couldn't this car come with something similar or better!

Does anyone know when either of them arrives in the showroom? My BMW dealer just called me and told me they started a queue for the car with a $300 deposit. But he said he didnt know when they are arriving in showrooms.

They will be here in March of 2008 ... production begins in January 2008 or february 2008 ... our dealer is sold out for at least a year

I wouldn't do the coupe for the same reason I won't buy a Z06. I can't pay that kind of money for a car with no moonroof!
