Lucky Europeans: More Ford ST and RS badged models on the way

According to AutoCar, with its second WRC win, Ford of Europe has announced some ’strategic’ changes within its ranks hinting that a new breed of ST and RS badged models could be on the way. The leader on Ford’s RS team, Jost Capito, has been made Vehicle Line Director of Performance Vehicles, shifting his responsibility away from motorsport and towards the development of more new performance cars made for the road.

Ford has just sunk itself deeper in the mud with its new Focus for America. Then they wonder why they are doing so poorly. It would be smart to dump the new model and replace it with this Euro version ASAP!

RS for a long time has just stood for Rally Sport. Many companies have had RS designators. Don't forget the Camaro used to have an RS trim available.

Porsche Carrera RS anyone??
I don't think there is a particular trademark, although if a new company wanted to call its cars "RS" I think Audi/Porsche/Ford would have something to say.

Like I don't think BMW has an official trademark on the letter M, but they stopped Merc using it, they eventually called it the ML-class (although everyone says M class).
Infiniti also have stopped Audi using the Q3 moniker, but they can say Q5 and Q7 for some odd reason.

I saw the focus (USDM) and threw up a little in my mouth. can someone tell me what happened here? It looked like a nightmare and was the most atrocious thing I've seen.
